Utilities stocks finished down broadly on Wall Street today, with the sector seeing an overall decline of 0.9%.
More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 1.1%, the Nasdaq was down 1.3% and the S&P 500 fell 1.1%.
Some of the biggest gainers among utilities stocks include:
- Crestwood Midstream Partners LP (CMLP[1]): CMLP stock is up 1.4% today.
- Dcp Midstream Partners LP (DPM[2]): DPM stock is up 0.8%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Western Gas Partners LP (WES[3]): WES stock is up 0.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Markwest Energy Partners LP (MWE[4]): MWE stock is up 0.3%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Kinder Morgan Energy Partners L.P. (KMP[5]): KMP stock is up 0.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.
Some of the biggest losers among utilities stocks include:
- Newjersey Resources Corp (NJR[6]): NJR stock is down 1.9% today.
- Black Hills Corp (BKH[7]): BKH stock is down 1.7% today.
- Firstenergy Corp (FE[8]): FE stock is down 1.6% today.
- Korea Electric Power Corp (KEP[9]): KEP stock is down 1.6%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Otter Tail Corp (OTTR[10]): OTTR stock is down 1.6% today.
- Piedmont Natural Gas Company (PNY[11]): PNY stock is down 1.6% today.
- Public Service Enterprise Group Inc (PEG[12]): PEG stock is down 1.5% today.
- Empire District Electric Company (EDE[13]): EDE stock is down 1.5% today.
- California Water Service Group Holding (CWT[14]): CWT stock is down 1.4%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- The Aes Corp (AES[15]): AES stock is down 1.4% today.
