Here are your Apple rumors and AAPL news items for today:

aapl-appleLogo: A rumor reported on by Tech Times claims that the iPhone 6 will feature a logo on the back that can light up. The logo on the rear case of the phone is said to light up when a text message, email or social media update is received by the smartphone. Apple (AAPL) already has light up logos in its MacBooks, meaning that transitioning that feature to its mobile devices isn’t a stretch.

Board: A leaked image of what is claimed to be the new logic boards for Apple’s 4.7-inch version and 5.5-inch version of the iPhone 6 has hit the internet, reports MacRumors. The possible new logic boards are shown in the picture next to a logic board from an iPhone 5s. The image doesn’t highlight which of the two new logic boards in the image belongs to which version of the new smartphone. While the parts aren’t labeled, one of them is bigger than the other, suggesting that it belongs to the supposed 5.5-inch version of the iPhone 6.

MacBook: The MacBook Pro lineup is rumored to be getting an update on Tuesday for its 13- and 15-inch versions. According to AppleInsider, the rumor claims that the updated MacBook Pros will have slight boosts to their CPUs and that all of them will come with 16GB of RAM. It’s also been claimed that these updated products will launch at the same price that their current versions are selling for. A 12-inch version of the MacBook Pro that is equipped with a Retina display is also expected to be released later this year.
