The spokeswoman said that the deal is set to reach completion and speeds for movie streaming will be improved because of it. How much AT&T was paid for this is unknown, reports Time.

Netflix has signed similar deal to allow faster streaming of its movies with Verizon (VZ) and Comcast (CMCSA). However, the company is also working to have speed limitations like this outlawed when net neutrality rules are drafted by the FCC later this year, Time notes.

Netflix keeps an updated list of the average speed the service sees from internet service providers. AT&T and Verizon both rank near the bottom of the list and Comcast is currently sitting as the fifth fastest major internet service provider for the streaming service.

NFLX shares were up 1% as of Wednesday afternoon.
