Those who suffer from a nickel allergy could be in danger of getting one of these nasty rashes if they own a tablet, laptop or cellphone. Medical journals have been reporting that nickel rashes can occur from exposure to electronic devices.

An 11-year-old boy was recently treated in a San Diego hospital after suffering a nickel rash resulting from his iPad. The tablet had a chemical compound found in nickel in its outside coating.

Nickel rashes are not life-threatening but they can be very uncomfortable and they can become infected.

AAPL stock is up about 1.6% Tuesday afternoon.
