Biggest Movers in Basic Materials Stocks Now – ATU NGD WLK MTX

Basic materials stocks finished up broadly on Wall Street today, with the sector seeing an overall increase of 0.3%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.5%, the Nasdaq increased 0.6% and the S&P 500 climbed 0.5%.

Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:

• Actuant Corp (ATU[1]): ATU stock is up 1.3% today.

• New Gold Inc (NGD[2]): NGD stock is up 1.3% today.

• Westlake Chemical Corp (WLK[3]): WLK stock is up 1.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Minerals Technologies Inc (MTX[4]): MTX stock is up 1.2% today.

• Watts Water Technologies (WTS[5]): WTS stock is up 1.1% today.

• Bemis Company (BMS[6]): BMS stock is up 1.1% today.

• Cabot Corp (CBT[7]): CBT stock is up 1.0% today.

• RPM International Inc (RPM[8]): RPM stock is up 1.0% today.

• Copene-Petroquimica Do Nordeste (BAK[9]): BAK stock is up 1.0%, marking the seventh consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Georgia Gulf Corp (AXLL[10]): AXLL stock is up 0.9%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:

• Cameco Corp (CCJ[11]): CCJ stock is down 2.3% today.

• Gold Fields Ltd (GFI[12]): GFI stock is down 1.9% today.

• Grupo Simec S.A. De C.V. (SIM[13]): SIM stock is down 1.6% today.

• Teck Resources Ltd (TCK[19]): TCK stock is down 1.1% today.

• Graphic Packaging Holding Company (GPK[20]): GPK stock is down 1.0% today on 2 times normal volume.
