Energy stocks declined broadly on Wall Street today, with the sector seeing an overall decline of 0.6%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.5%, the Nasdaq increased 0.5% and the S&P 500 climbed 0.5%.

Some of the biggest gainers among energy stocks include:

• Marathon Petroleum Corp (MPC[2]): MPC stock is up 1.7% today.

• Targa Resources Partners LP (NGLS[3]): NGLS stock is up 1.3% today.

• Range Resources Corp (RRC[4]): RRC stock is up 1.2% today.

• Ferrellgas Partners L.P. (FGP[5]): FGP stock is up 1.2%, marking the seventh consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Western Refining (WNR[6]): WNR stock is up 1.2% today.

• Hollyfrontier Corp (HFC[7]): HFC stock is up 1.1% today.

• Teekay Offshore Partners L.P. (TOO[8]): TOO stock is up 1.0% today.

• Atlas Pipeline Partners L.P. (APL[9]): APL stock is up 1.0% today.

• Alon USA Energy (ALJ[10]): ALJ stock is up 1.0%, marking the eighth consecutive day the stock has increased.

Some of the biggest losers among energy stocks include:

• Halcon Resources (HK[11]): HK stock is down 6.3% today and down 26.3% in the last month.

• Carrizo Oil & Gas (CRZO[12]): CRZO stock is down 4.4%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Kodiak Oil (KOG[13]): KOG stock is down 4.3% today.

• Penn West Petroleum Ltd (PWE[14]): PWE stock is down 3.9% today and down 23.1% in the last month.

• Whiting Petroleum Corp (WLL[15]): WLL stock is down 3.8% today.

• Weatherford International Ltd (WFT[16]): WFT stock is down 3.8% today.

• Patterson-Uti Energy (PTEN[17]): PTEN stock is down 3.2% today.

• Bill Barrett Corp (BBG[18]): BBG stock is down 3.2% today.

• Halliburton Company (HAL[19]): HAL stock is down 3.2% today.
