Hurricane Iselle will be the first hurricane to hit Hawaii in more than two decades.
The storm is expected to be a strong one that was never supposed to make it to land. Forecasters expected Hurricane Iselle to rage through the Pacific without finding land but it looks like that won’t be the case.
The hurricane will hit the Pacific island with torrential downpours, strong winds and a powerful surf that could cause plenty of havoc. The National Weather Service expects Hurricane Iselle to make its way to Hawaii at around noon (6 ET).
State officials have reassured the people in the island that the proper measures have been taken to face the storm and there’s no need to panic.
Hurricane Julio could make its way to the island only a couple of days after Hurricane Iselle.
