Matt Damon had a bit of a conundrum when he was challenged to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

The movie star wanted to do his part and complete the challenge but he also didn’t want to waste clean water doing so. In order to do both, Matt Damon decided to use toilet water for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

As the co-founder of Water.org — a website dedicated to help people gain access to clean water — Damon is an advocate for the conservation of water. He collected water from toilets around the house, added ice and poured water on his head to complete the challenge.

The actor informed us that most of the toilet water in the western world is still cleaner than water available in the developing world.Matt Damon finishes by encouraging watchers to visit Water.org and learn more about the water crisis.

He shared the video on YouTube challenged George Clooney, Bono and Tom Brady for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
