Walmart (WMT[1]) has cut the price of Apple’s (AAPL[2]) iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S.

Walmart is offering the two Apple phones at heavily discounted prices from their manufacturer suggested retail prices. The iPhone 5C will cost 97 cents and the iPhone 5S will cost $79, reports Mashable.
However, there is a catch to get these Apple products for the discounted prices. Customers looking to pick up the discounted iPhones must sign a a two-year contract with AT&T (T[4]), U.S. Cellular (USM[5]
), Sprint (S[6]) or Verizon (VZ[7]). Also, the iPhones can’t be purchased online and must be bought at a brick and mortar location, Mashable notes.
The discounted iPhone 5S and 5C prices at Walmart are likely in preparation for the iPhone 6. The retailer has been offering [8]discounts[9] on the current generation of iPhones throughout the year. These are some of the cheapest prices offered yet and could signify that the iPhone 6 is just around the corner.
