Commuters and tourists traveling to the World Trade Center will now have access to free Wi-Fi.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey signed a deal with Boingo Wireless (WIFI) that will bring Wi-Fi to the WTC. The multi-year deal will allow World Trade Center travelers to access complimentary Internet provided by Boingo.
The deal will also bring Wi-Fi in the retail areas of the World Trade Center transportation hub. The PATH station that connects trains running within New Jersey and to New York City will also offer free Wi-Fi.
The World Trade Center transportation hub is expected to be used by about 200,000 daily commuters and millions of visitors a year.
