Microsoft Announces MSFT Dividend Increase of 11%

Microsoft (MSFT) has announced its yearly dividend raise.

microsoft-msft-dividend-dividend-increaseMicrosoft announced that it will be increasing its dividend to 31 cents per quarter. This is an 11% increase, or 3 cents over the previous quarter’s dividend, and the company’s fifth straight dividend raise in the double digits, reports Seeking Alpha.

Microsoft’s increased dividend will be payable to shareholders on December 11, 2014 that are on record as of November 20, 2014, Seeking Alpha notes.

The 11% increase in Microsoft’s dividend is the smallest the company has announced since 2009.

His breakdown was released prior to the company’s annonced dividend increase and is based off a dividend increase to 32 cents per quarter, which is a penny more than what was announced.
