Here are your Apple rumors and AAPL news items for today:

apple-rumors-apple-icloud-erasing-data-ios-8Glitch: Several owners of devices running Apple’s (AAPL) iOS have complained about Bluetooth connectivity issues, reports MacRumors. Users of the devices are complaining that they are unable to connect their iPhones with iOS 8 to their cars via Bluetooth. The issue doesn’t seem to be restricted to a single automobile manufacturer. Other complaints concerning Bluetooth connectivity have been filed and Apple’s support team is aware of the issue.

Security: U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has spoken out against Apple’s advanced security in its devices, AppleInisder notes. The company doesn’t have access to encryption codes for devices running iOS 8, which means that the only person with it is the passcode holder. This prevents the government from being able to force Apple to give it user data. However, Holder claims that this move goes too far and that there is still a medium that can be found where users’ data remains private and law enforcement can access the data.

iCloud: Apple is facing problems with iCloud and how it interacts with devices running iOS 8, reports BGR. The problem between iOS 8 and iCloud can cause users to lose all of the data they’ve ever save to the storage service and other devices connected to it. The bug at hand occurs when a user chooses to use the “Reset All Settings” option in iOS 8. The action will cause iCloud to delete all data stored in it and will then wipe the data from Macs and iPads connected to the service. Users looking to reset all settings on their devices should backup items stored on the iCloud until the issue is resolved.
