Facebook photos uploaded via the iOS app will not automatically be enhanced. The new feature includes a slider that allows users to adjust lighting before posting an image. The update takes away the clunky option of adding filters that use to be used on the app, TechCrunch notes.

The addition of being able to automatically enhance a photo when its uploaded to Facebook will likely simplify the posting process, which will also make it easier and faster to post photos on the go. The new feature will also be added to the company’s app for Google (GOOG) Android, TechCrunch notes.

Users of the Facebook app for iOS that aren’t happy with the auto enhancing feature can turn it off if they desire. To do this, the user just has to go to the app’s video and photo settings and turn the feature off, reports Macworld.

FB shares were up slightly as of Wednesday afternoon.
