Select users of the Walgreen (WAG) app can now use it for virtual doctor visits.

md-live-walgreen-app-wagWalgreen teamed up with MDLive, which deals in virtual visits to the doctor, to add the new feature to its app. The current virtual doctor visits are limited to people living in California and Michigan, but are expected to reach more states in the next few years, reports The Chicago Tribune.

Users of the virtual doctor visits via the Walgreen app should note that it isn’t for serious medical issues. Instead it should be used for things like sore throats, earaches and rashes. Each visit made through the app costs $49, The Tribune notes.

“The idea of convenience … is really becoming a dominant theme in health care,” Dr. Harry Leider, chief medical officer at Walgreen, told CBS News.
