Sony (SNE) Pictures is threatening to sue Twitter (TWTR) if it doesn’t stop accounts from spreading hacked information.

sony-twitter-sne-twtrIn a letter sent to Twitter on Monday, Sony Pictures demanded that the social media network suspend users that are sharing detailed information from the hack it suffered. One of the major accounts behind Sony’s claim is still currently up on Twitter and includes what appears to be screenshots of hacked emails, reports Cnet.

RT has a screenshot of the Sony letter that was sent to Sony. Following is a brief section from that letter.

“As Twitter is aware, someone using the Twitter account name: @bikinirobotarmy (the ‘Account Holder’) is in possession of, and is using this Twitter account to publish SPE’s (Sony Pictures Entertainment’s) stolen documents and information (the ‘Stolen Information’), pursuant to the perpetrators’ scheme.”

Sony has issued similar letters to members of the media concerning information from the hack. These letters demanded that media outlets destroy the leaked information and warned that they may be to blame for damages if the information is shared, Cnet notes.
