Watch Out, FaceTime! Facebook Messenger Adds Video Calling

Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) FaceTime app, which allows for video calling, now has a competitor in Facebook Inc’s (NASDAQ:FB) Messenger app.

Facebook Messenger users can now use the service to make video calls to other mobile users. Users can start a video call by clicking the camera icon and can do so from a currently running messaging session.

Here are a list of countries where Facebook Messenger allows video calls.

Facebook Messenger’s video calling system also allows users on different types of devices to call each other. This means that users of the iOS app and the version of the app for Google Inc’s (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) Android can make video calls to each other.
