Here are your Apple Rumors for today:

apple-rumors-r&d-research-development-aaplDisplay: Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) may be working on an invisible display that would include more than meets the eye, reports AppleInsider. The dispaly was revealed in a recent patent awarded to the company called “Invisible Light Transmission Via a Display Assembly”. The idea behind the patent is that there would be multiple displays built into a small device, such as the iPhone. One display would be normal and include everything owners are used to seeing on their devices. However, there could be other displays that would show information invisible to the human eye. It could also work on a single display and be used for bar codes and QR codes.

Vegas: Several casinos in Las Vegas are planning to add support for Apple Pay, 9to5Mac notes. Gamblers should note that this doesn’t mean they can use their new Watch at the slots. Instead, Pay will be accepted at the locations’ front desks, restaurants and bars. Support is expected to be ready by early June. It’s also unknown if casinos will allow visitors to use Pay for a cash advance, similar to how credit cards can be used at the locations.

R&D: It’s possible that Apple is hiding a major research and development project, reports BGR. Speculation behind this possibility comes from the company’s recent funds that is has dedicated to R&D use. AAPL has set aside $500 million for this task recently. This is much larger than the $150 million that was used to develop the iPhone. It also outshines the $200 to $300 million that was dedicated to developing the Apple Watch. This has some believing that the company’s next project could be its biggest yet. Perhaps this is another sign that the tech company is working on its own electric car.
