HPE,MSFT: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Shares Up on Microsoft Cloud Deal

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE:HPE) is expanding its cloud deal with Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT).

The company — which is an enterprise IT company borne out of HP Inc (NYSE:HPQ ) — is making waves with its deal with Microsoft that involves a piece of hardware with cloud capabilities.

The HPE Hyper-Converged 250 for Microsoft Cloud Platform System Standard has computing, storage and network functionalities all within Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s hardware.

It can be installed on data centers interested in hybrid cloud that delves into the Microsoft Azure public cloud. “HPE offers hardware and software support, installation and startup services to customers to speed deployment to just a matter of hours, lower risk and decrease total cost of ownership,” wrote Hewlett Packard Enterprise in a statement.

HPE stock is up 5.45% Tuesday. MSFT stock is up 1.11%.
