A GM recall (NYSE:GM) has been issued, affecting 473,000 General Motors vehicles with a brake pedal issue.

GM RecallThe recall affects SUVs and trucks in the U.S. and Canada, including the 2015- and 2016-model year Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD and Chevrolet Tahoe police vehicles.

The GM recall was issued due to loose nuts on the brake pedals of the vehicles that can cause the brakes to cease working. No injuries or deaths have been reported in relation with the problem.

In order to fix the brake pedal, dealers will examine the pivot bolt, and determine if it is necessary to apply adhesive to it and reinstall the part with increased torque.
