WWDC: Apple (AAPL) has reportedly started sending out notices to winners of its 2016 WWDC scholarships, reports MacRumors. These winners are now receiving notifications telling them that they’ve won the scholarship and that they will get a ticket to WWDC 2016. The company hands out 350 scholarships to students and 150 for those with financial restrictions. It also may offer to help with travel fees. The event will be held from June 13 to June 17.

Pay: Apple Pay has gained additional support from several banks in Canada, AppleInsider notes. Two big banks that are now supporting the tech company’s payment service include the Royal Bank of Canada and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. The two banks will allow holders of credit and debit cards from Visa Inc (V), Mastercard Inc (MA), and American Express Company (AXP) to use them with Pay. The service was introduced in the country last year with support for American Express credit cards.

Encryption: The list of organizations that can hack AAPL’s iPhone has spread to include the government of India, reports BGR. The government claims to be able to break the encryption on the tech company’s smartphones with the help of a program developed for mobile forensics work. The country didn’t reveal the exact nature of the program or how it breaks through the device’s security. It’s unknown if it’s similar to the same hack used by the FBI.
