Here are your Apple Rumors for today:

Apple Rumors, Original Content, AAPLContent: Apple (AAPL) is reportedly planning to continue making its own original TV content, reports MacRumors. According to this report, the tech company will increase spending on original content by “several hundred million dollars a year.” This could be a move that will help it launch its own streaming service. The report also claims that the company was interested in acquiring Time Warner Inc (TWX) last year, but talks didn’t go far.

Earbuds: Apple may be working on a unique feature for its Lightning EarPods, AppleInsider notes. The new feature was detailed in a patent filed by the company with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. It describes a system that will allow users to talk with each other via the headset. This would work over an ad hoc network and would essentially be a smart version of the walkie-talkie. These EarPods could also be connected to a mobile device via a Lightning jack. It’s unknown if this feature will ever actually be implemented into the company’s product.

Arabic: Apple has officially opened the Arabic version of its website, reports 9to5Mac. This is the first time the language has been present on AAPL’s site and it reads left to right. However, many of the links on the Arabic version of the website still point back to English pages that were previously used for that section of the world. This update doesn’t include adding Arabic to the Store app.
