CocaineA Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) plant in France had a massive amount of cocaine hidden that was discovered by workers in the warehouse.

The drug was discovered in a delivery of orange juice concentrate and it is believed to have come from someone in South America. French authorities are currently investigating the matter.

A whopping 370kg of cocaine was found at the Coca-Cola plant, which has a street value of about 50 million euros–more than $55 million. Xavier Tarabeux is the Toulon prosecutor who’s working on the case, and he says the discovery was “a very bad surprise.”

The investigation has so far revealed that no one who works in the Coca-Cola plant is believed to have any involvement with the crime. The regional president of the company assured that this fact has been confirmed by the early stages of the investigation.

The case is taken place in Signes, which is a town in the south of France. The move has reminded the world of the deadly early formula of Coca-Cola, which first launched in 1886 with traces of cocaine extracted from the coca leaf.

A glass of the fizzy beverage used to contain nine milligrams of cocaine, which was replaced with cocaine-free extract from the leaf in 1904. Chemist John Pemberton created the original formula.

KO stock is up 0.3% Wednesday. Company shares have risen close to 1% since the beginning of the year.
