Greta Van SusterenFox News‘ (NASDAQ:FOX) own Greta Van Susteren has announced that she will be departing from the company.

In her time with the station, she hosted a show that focused on political commentary called On The Record, which she ran for about 14 years. Van Susteren says there is no ill will attached to this decision, and she hopes to pursue another broadcasting job elsewhere.

She informed Fox News on Thursday that she would be ending her contract with the publication thanks to a clause in her deal that allows her to do so. The political informant appreciated her role in the show, but she has not felt at home with the company for a while now.

“I love my staff, I love my colleagues, and I love the crews,” Van Susteren wrote. “That is the hardest part of this decision as they are wonderful people.”

Additionally, she gave a shout out to the On The Record viewers who have supported her for so long–even the ones that took swipes at her.

Van Susteren is also considering working at Georgetown University as a professor or part of the legal team. She earned a master’s degree in law there, as well as a doctorate in the same field.

Senior political analyst Brit Hume has been tabbed as the analyst’s replacement. He thanked Van Susteren for her contributions and added that he’s looking forward to hosting the new version of the show.

FOX shares slipped 0.8% on Tuesday.
