Walgreens Boots (NASDAQ:WBA) is offering in-store pickup for customers who make online purchases.

WalgreensIf you don’t want your product delivered at home or the workplace, you can use the company’s new initiative to pick up your order at your local store through its Ship to Store offering.

This program is available for online orders as well as mobile orders via the company’s app. Shipping is free, and you are able to make your pickup at either Walgreens or Duane Read stores.

Some of the items that you can order through the new company initiative are items that you wouldn’t usually find online. “As a leading omnichannel retailer, we’re continually looking for innovative ways to provide anytime, anywhere convenience by offering the best health, wellness and beauty products with just a few clicks,” said Joe Hartsig, Walgreens senior vice president, merchandising.

He added that 75% of U.S. residents have a Walgreens location within 5 miles of where they live, offering a better and more complete shopping experience to consumers.

Orders will be ready within one to three business days of ordering, and users will be notified of this via e-mail. Paperless coupons, digital promotions and Balance Rewards benefits can all be accessed with Ship to Store.

By the end of the year, Walgreens plans to acquire Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE:RAD) as part of a deal that values its rival at $9 a share.

WBA shares are falling 0.3% Monday.
