The data breach targeted Friend Finder Network, which owns AdultFriendFinder and several other websites containing content for those 18 years or older. Here is a collection of information about the new data breach, as collected from LeakedSource.

  • The data breach resulted in account information for 412 million users being stolen.
  • AdultFriendFinder was hit the largest by the data breach with 339.77 million accounts being affected.
  • 62.67 million Cams.com accounts were affected by the data breach.
  • Penthouse.com saw 7.18 million accounts affected by the data breach..
  • The data breach resulted in about 1.42 million Stripshow.com accounts being affected.
  • 1.36 million iCams.com accounts were affected by the data breach.
  • Another 35,372 from unknown domains were also hit in hack.
  • A Local File Inclusion exploit was used in the data breach.
  • The data breach included information for what appear to be accounts that users have deleted.
  • Passwords stolen in the data breach were either in plain text or SHA1 hashed.
  • This means that hackers are likely able to gain access to any account of the affected accounts.
  • The top 10 passwords used by accounts in the data breach were 123456, 12345, 123456789, 12345678, 1234567890, 1234567, password, qwerty, qwertyuiop and 987654321.
  • There are 5,650 .gov email accounts across the entire data breach and 78,301 .mil email accounts.
  • The top three email domains found in the data hack are Microsoft Corporation’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) Hotmail, Yahoo! Inc.’s (NASDAQ:YHOO) email service and Alphabet Inc’s (NASDAQ:GOOG,GOOGL) Gmail accounts.
  • English was the main language spoken by users of the adult websites owned by Friend Finder Network.
