Thursday Apple Rumors: Older Apple TVs Are Having Problems

Leading the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) rumor mill today is news of trouble with older Apple TVs. Today, we’ll look at that and other Apple Rumors for Wednesday.

Apple Rumors, Apple TV, Problems, AAPLTV Problems: Owners of second and third generation Apple TVs are having problems, reports MacRumors. A bug has been spreading through the older versions of the set-top boxes that make them next to useless for owners. The problems makes it so that only the Music, Computers and Settings options show up. No other channels can be accessed. Some fixes have been discovered, but they don’t always work. The tech company is aware of the problem and is planning an update to fix it.

Watch SalesKohl’s Corporation (NYSE:KSS) will start selling the Apple Watch this month, Fortune notes. The retailer will start carrying the smartwatches at 400 of its 1,100 locations in the United States starting on Nov. 15, 2016. The devices will be placed in the activewear and wellness sections of stores. The locations will have four different watch models on display and employees will man the stations to help customers. Kohl’s will carry 10 different versions of the Watch.

Thunderbolt 3 Dock: A new Thunderbolt 3 dock is coming for the updated MacBook Pro, reports 9to5Mac. Third-party developer OWC has announced that it will release a new dock that features 13 different ports. This will include ports for SD Cards, ethernet and more. The goal is to bring back ports that are missing in the new update of the MacBook Pro line. It will be released in Feb. 2017 and will cost $279.
