Heinz Gravy Recall: Check Your Pantry Before Thanksgiving

Kraft Heinz Co (NASDAQ:KHC) has issued a Heinz gravy recall of certain products due to an allergy risk.

The reason for the recall is that 500 cases of Heinz HomeStyle Bistro Au Jus Gravy have incorrect labels. The products have accidentally had labels for Heinz Pork Gravy put on them. This means they contain milk and soy, but don’t have labels stating such.

There have been no complaints in connection to the Heinz gravy recall. However, customers with soy and milk allergies may be in danger if they consume the products.

Here are the following products affected by the Heinz gravy recall.

  • Heinz HomeStyle Gravy Pork — These are individual 12 oz jars that have “Best By” dates of 12/28/2017 on them. The UPC on these jars is “013000798907”
  • Heinz HomeStyle Gravy Bistro Au Jus — These are the cases sold to retailers and they contain 12 oz jars in them. The cases have a UPC of “10013000798508” and a Best By date of 12/28/2017.

Customers that have purchased products in in the Heinz gravy recall can return the jars to a store for an exchange or refund. Kraft Heinz Co advises customers against eating the product. The jars in the recall were only sold to retailers and customers in the United States.
