Large Cap Gainers

  • Coach (NYSE:COH) $59.33 – $61.80, +4.01%: Rumors are swelling that OTR Research is positive on COH
  • Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) $16.38 – $16.92, +3.77%: JPMorgan (NYSE:JPM) upgraded HPQ from Underweight to Neutral
  • Limited (NYSE:LTD) $44.84 – $45.87, +2.21%: Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) added the name to its Best Ideas list

Large Cap Losers

  • Sprint (NYSE:S) $5.65 – $5.84, -4.31%: Received two downgrades, one from UBS (NYSE:UBS) from Buy to Neutral, and one from JPMorgan (NYSE:JPM) from Nuetral to Overweight
  • Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) $498.51 – $520.30, -3.21%: According to Reuters, the company has slashed orders by 50% from several suppliers for the iPhone 5 due to faltering demand; additional reports are circulating that Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) may have won back some share of the PC market
  • Talisman Energy (NYSE:TLM) $11.91 – $12.17, -2.61%: Raymond James (NYSE:RJF) downgraded TLM to Market Perform from Outperform

Mid Cap Gainers

  • Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) $11.91 – $12.17, +10.47%: Stock ramping up before the company’s Jan. 30 BlackBerry 10 launch; reportedly carrier support is increasing
  • Flowers Foods (NYSE:FLO) $25.32 – $26.97, +7.41%: The company inked an agreement to take over specific Hostess Bread brands and bakeries
  • Sears Holdings (NYSE:SHLD) $41.63 – $44.49, +7.18%: Ed Lampert, CEO who also has a 10% ownership in the company, and a Director bought about 330,000 shares at $40.74-$41.00 worth approximately $13.6 million; additionally, ESL Partners revealed an increased stake of 56.5%, up from 56.2% on Nov. 30, 2012

Mid Cap Losers

  • Cirrus Logic (NASDAQ:CRUS), $28.60 – $30.45, -7.95%: Weak on reports that Apple  cut supplier orders
  • Qihoo 360 Technology (NASDAQ:QIHU) $30.81 – $32.89, -5.35%): Marbridge Consulting reports that Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU) looks to invest in developer and online entertainment provider Kingsoft
  • Pharmacyclics (NASDAQ:PCYC) $64.10 – $65.70, -3.29%: Lazard (NYSE:LAZ) downgraded to Neutral from Buy
