Cardamom prices plunged 3.29 per cent to Rs 711 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at existing levels, driven by subdued demand at the spot market against adequate stocks.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), cardamom for delivery in September month fell sharply by Rs 24.20, or 3.29 per cent to Rs 711 per kg in business turnover of 638 lots.
The rupee resumed higher at 66.90 per dollar as against the previous closing level of 68.80 per dollar at the Interbank Foeign Exchange (Foerx) Market and firmed up further to a high of 66.85 per dollar.
