Delaware Launches Full Suite of Online Gambling

Delaware is launching a full suite of Internet gambling which includes all the major casino games.

USA Today reports that The First State has become the first state to introduce such a suite with blackjack, poker, roulette and slots. The move comes as the governor looks to make Delaware relevant in the casino industry again after posting poor numbers compared to neighboring states. The suite will be available to Delaware residents by Nov. 8.

The only other state with online gambling is Nevada but their laws limit gambling to poker. New Jersey is following Delaware’s lead in late November by legalizing online gambling and there are other states such as Pennsylvania that are considering it. Read 

Mayor Refuses to Resign Over Crack Cocaine Video Scandal

Toronto Mayor Bob Ford is not planning on resigning anytime soon despite allegations of him smoking crack cocaine from a pipe.

ABC News reports that Toronto police recovered a video from a hard drive of Ford smoking crack on Thursday. The police chief said that he was disappointed after watching the video and that it’s been “consistent with what has been described in the media.” Despite these claims, the Mayor and his staff members refuse to acknowledge the existence of this video and Ford has not been charged with a crime.

After these allegations were first made there months ago, the police was finally able to recover the video of the Mayor smoking crack. An associate of the Mayor — Sandro Lisi — has long been linked to these allegations and he was arrested on Oct. 1 and charged with trafficking marijuana and conspiracy. Read
