This year’s South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Festival will feature a particularly controversial speaker.
Edward Snowden, the American security contractor who leaked documents showing massive spying operations by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA), will address the SXSW meeting on Monday. Since Edward Snowden is considered a wanted fugitive by U.S. authorities and remains in Russia, which has granted him asylum, he will speak by teleconference, CNN notes.
During the conference, Edward Snowden will discuss government spying with a representative of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Read

Is Facebook (FB) COO Sheryl Sandberg preparing to campaign for a U.S. Senate Seat? Maybe not.
On Monday, the U.K. Daily Mail reported that source in the “inner circle” of Sheryl Sandberg said the FB COO wanted to “find a seat” in the senate by 2016. That made a challenge to California Senator Barbara Boxer, whose current term expires in 2016, her most likely option. The term of Boxer’s fellow U.S. senator from California, Dianne Feinstein, runs until 2018.
However, within hours of posting the original story, the Mail said that another source close to Sheryl Sandberg had dismissed the report, calling it “100% untrue.” Read
