Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is seeking professional help for his alcohol and drug problem.
New images and a video of the politician emerged showing him smoking what appears to be crack cocaine. The video was shot by a self-professed drug dealer and Mayor Rob Ford appears to be intoxicated in it.
Additionally, audio of another incident from the Toronto Mayor came to light and was obtained by the Toronto Sun. The audio shows Ford ranting and cursing while at a bar.
“It’s not easy to be vulnerable and this is one of the most difficult times in my life,” Mayor Rob Ford said in a statement. “I have a problem with alcohol, and the choices I have made while under the influence. I have struggled with this for some time.”
The 44-year-old politician is taking immediate leave from his job and campaign for re-election in order to get professional help.
