Obama Shares His iPod Playlist

President's taste in music eclectic, except for one genre

investorpoliticsletters2 Obama Shares His iPod PlaylistBarack Obama may not always be able to get both sides of the political aisle to agree, but there’s one area of his life in which there’s something for almost everybody: his iPod.

In an interview with Cincinnati hip-hop radio station WIZF, the president was asked what was on the “presidential iPod.” To which he responded that he had “a pretty good mix.”

“I’ve got old school — Stevie Wonder, James Brown. I’ve got Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan. And then I’ve got everything from Jay-Z, to Eminem, to the Fugees, to you name it. There’s probably not a group that you play that I don’t have on my iPod.”

But Obama just doesn’t stick to classic rock, folk, soul, and rap. “I’ve got some jazz — John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Gil Scott-Heron.”

Interestingly enough, Bruce Springsteen, who has appeared at Obama rallies this campaign season and sang a “campaign” song for him, was not mentioned. Also not mentioned? Country music. After all, many of their top stars tend to support the GOP.
