Pro-Romney Super PAC Pulls Negative Ads From YouTube

investorpoliticsletters2 Pro Romney Super PAC Pulls Negative Ads From YouTube[1]After helping Mitt Romney bury his Republican foes during the GOP primary season, it looks like the pro-Romney Super PAC Restore Our Future is burying the hatchet.

Restore Our Future has apparently pulled all of its ads attacking Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum[2] from its YouTube account. The account now has just two advertisements that are publicly visible: one that attacks President Barack Obama’s ability to create jobs and one that rehashes a 2008 advertisement about Romney’s efforts to save a young girl who went missing in New York City[3]. The old negative ads from the Republican primaries have been made private by the YouTube account’s manager.

With Romney having sewn up the GOP nomination in all but delegates, efforts are now underway for the presumptive Republican presidential candidate to bring his former foes into the fold. Romney is expected to meet with Santorum this week to discuss an endorsement from the former Pennsylvania senator, and Newt Gingrich is expected to formally leave the race this week.  Pulling the old attack ads will further heal the wounds from a bruising GOP primary, and help the party unite to defeat Barack Obama in the fall.
