How many average American homes can fit in 1 Romney mansion?

Last August, Romney submitted plans to quadruple the size of his $112 million oceanfront home in La Jolla, California[1]. According to the San Diego[2] Union-Tribune, Romney plans to knockdown a 3,009-square-foot beachfront house and replace it with a 11,062-square-foot structure.

So the question is, how many average American homes can fit in 1 Romney Mansion?
