Triangle Capital Corp. (NYSE:TCAP) — This finance company specializing in buyouts, change-of-control transactions, acquisitions, growth financing and recapitalizations in lower- to middle-market companies exceeded analysts’ Q4 estimates due to greater-than-expected portfolio growth. Asset quality is excellent, and BB&T Capital Markets expects portfolio growth to continue to gain and reiterated its “buy” on the stock.
Technically the stock is in a cup-and-handle formation. The handle has formed a small rectangle with a top at just over $20.
A close over $20.50 would result in a breakout with an objective of $25. TCAP pays a dividend of $1.88 for a yield of 9.5%.
