Starbucks Adds ‘Refreshing’ New Line of Beverages

The low-cal drinks combine fruit juices and green coffee extract

Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) added yet another new product to its beverage line Tuesday.

The hand-crafted variety of Starbucks Refreshers — which come in “Very Berry Hibiscus” and “Cool Lime” flavors — can be purchased at participating Starbucks stores.

Starbucks Refreshers combine real fruit juice and green coffee extract, and are intended to be low-calorie, thirst-quenching energy boosters.

“As the coffee category continues to evolve, our customers expect more and we are committed to bringing uniquely relevant products to market,” President of Starbucks Americas Cliff Burrows said in a press release.

The company also sells Starbucks VIA Refreshers instant beverages and Ready-to-Drink Starbucks Refreshers. The ready-to-drink variety is available in “Raspberry Pomegranate,” “Strawberry Lemonade,” and “Orange Melon” flavors at select grocery stores.
