law book and gavel[1]A former model who appeared on CBS‘s (NYSE:CBS[2]) The Price Is Right has won a $776,944 judgement against the TV show’s producers[3].

Claiming that she was denied the opportunity to return to the show after taking maternity leave, Brandi Cochran sued FremantleMedia North America and The Price is Right Productions in California Superior Court, the Associated Press noted.

The jury rejected the producers’ claims that they had five other models working on the show at the time and didn’t need Cochran, finding that Cochran’s pregnancy led them not to rehire her.

Jury deliberations, which began last week, were deadlocked several times before jurors announced their verdict on Tuesday.

The court will now consider whether Cochran should receive additional damages. In her lawsuit, she demanded $8 million in punitive damages.

Calling the jury’s decision “flawed” the producers said they would appeal the decision.
