NBC’s Sandy Benefit Concert: The Stars Taking Part

Singers, actors and commedians raise money for storm victims

Comcast’s (NASDAQ:CMCSA) NBC broadcast a star-studded concert from New York City’s Rockefeller Center on Friday to raise funds to benefit the victims of Hurricane Sandy, which devastated coastal areas of New Jersey, New York and Connecticut earlier this week.

The concert was broadcast on a number NBC networks, including CNBC, MSNBC, E! Entertainment, USA, Bravo and the Weather Channels. Other networks opted not to participate in the telethon, though Disney’s (NYSE:DIS) ABC, News Corp.‘s (NASDAQ:NWSA) Fox and CBS (NYSE:CBS) announced their own donations to organizations assisting with recovery efforts, the Associated Press noted.
