Dennis Rodman Too Broke to Pay Child Support

Former basketball star and headline grabber Dennis Rodman told a court that he can no longer afford his child support payments.

The player — who made news last week with his visit to North Korea, where he made friends with dictator Kim Jong-un — owes more than $800,000 in back child support, reports Celebrity Networth.

Rodman’s ex-wife Michele filed for the back payments to collect the total of $860,376 in child and spousal support. Rodman’s attorney told the court that he is unable to pay due to his lack of funds. The attorney also cited Rodman’s alcoholism as a reason for his lack of income and assets.

Rodman — a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame and winner of five NBA championships — made more than $27 million during his NBA career. It is also believed that he earned as much or more than his salary in endorsements.
