Wal-Mart WMT[1]A researcher has determined that Walmart (NYSE:WMT[2]) is the top place where people fall in love.

A new study – to be reported in Psychology Today – reports that the retail giant is the most listed place for ‘missed connections’ posts on Craigslist, reports CNN[3].

The study found that the results held true in 15 states. The states ran in a line from West Virginia, southwest to Texas and then north to Idaho. However, in California the most popular location was a local gym and in New York the subway.

There’s also a difference in age. At a younger age ice cream parlors are the top draw for missed connections. As people age it changes, for posters in their 30s it was a bar and for those over 40 it was a strip club or adult bookstore.
