Website Exposes Private Financial Info of Major Celebs

Entertainers, politicians and government figures data shared

Panic Button tech stocksFourteen big-name individuals have had their personal information shared on the Internet by a hacker.

The info — which the hacker sent to a website called “The Secret Files” — includes names, addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, credit card numbers and bank and mortgage accounts, The New York Daily News reports.

The Los Angeles Police Department and the FBI are hunting for the hacker. Taking the website down may present some difficulty as it has a web address that says it is hosted in the Soviet Union — a country that no longer exists. Andrew Smith, an LAPD commander, said, “The best word I can use to describe it is creepy. It’s a creepy thing to do.”

The 14 people who had their information made public are:

  • Vice President Joe Biden
  • First Lady Michele Obama
  • Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
  • FBI Director Robert Mueller
  • Attorney General Eric Holder
  • LAPD Chief of Police Charlie Beck
  • Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin
  • Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger
  • Jay-Z
  • Beyonce
  • Kim Kardashian
  • Britney Spears
  • Donald Trump
  • Paris Hilton
  • Mel Gibson
  • Ashton Kutcher
  • Hulk Hogan
