Wrestler’s Widow Settles Suit With WWE

owen hart[1]The lawsuit brought against he World Wrestling Entertainment (NYSE:WWE[2]) by Martha Hart is settled.

Hart — the widow of deceased wrestling star Owen Hart — sued the entertainment company over royalties for the use of his name and image, the Associated Press reports[3].

Martha Hart filed suit against the WWE in June 2010 alleging that the company was not paying royalties while continuing to use his name and likeness to promote its events. Owen Hart died in 1999 from injuries he suffered during an event in Kansas City, Mo.

Martha Hart announced the settlement Wednesday. Neither side commented on the nature of the settlement.
