After breaking into the spotlight with American Idol, Ryan Seacrest has made a career out of hosting TV shows … and later this year, Seacrest will continue life behind the microphone as the host of NBC’s new live game show.
Million Second Quiz will air for six consecutive nights starting Sept. 9, then return on Sept. 16 for four straight nights, according to The Associated Press. Seacrest has been tabbed as the host, and he said he expects the show to be a success that reaches fans of many different platforms.
The trivia show will test the wits of its contestants over a million seconds, which adds up to 11 days, 13 hours, 46 minutes and 40 seconds. The show will air on NBC for an hour a day, but fans can continue watching it the rest of the time through a mobile app. The only day that the show won’t make the air during the 11-day span is Sunday, Sept. 15, because of Sunday Night Football.
Seacrest will continue to host ABC’s American Idol. He’s also the host of On Air with Ryan Seacrest, a daily radio show that airs on more than 150 radio stations in North America.
