Yahoo Alibaba[1]Yahoo (YHOO[2]) is planning to overhaul its finance app[3] in preparation for Apple’s (AAPL[4]) iOS 7.

Yahoo’s redesign of its finance app will be similar to the treatment the company gave its weather app months ago. The finance app is being redesigned to match up with the new standards that Apple has put in place for iOS 7, which is set to be released next month. The relationship between Apple and Yahoo is a close one. The iPhone’s weather and stock apps have been powered by Yahoo since the original iPhone. Apple’s iOS 7 will still be using Yahoo to power these apps. Yahoo has yet to announce a release date for the new finance app. The company is designing all of its apps with the future iPhone in mind, reports The New York Post.

“The developers are working to make sure the apps take advantage of new iPhone features and fit new design paradigms,” a Yahoo insider told The New York Post.

Yahoo will also be overhauling its finance website[5] to coincide with the mobile app’s redesign.

Also being redesigned by Yahoo is its logo[6]. The company is showing off multiple logo possibilities before it unveils its new logo on Sept. 4.
