Walking Dead[1]AMC Networks (AMCX[2]), announced on Monday[3], that a spin-off of The Walking Dead will premiere on the network in 2015.

The new series will take place in the same world as The Walking Dead, but it will feature an all new cast that is unrelated to Rick Grimes’ group. Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead comic book, and Gale Anne Hurd, producer of The Walking Dead TV show, have both been attached to the new series as executive producers, reports The New York Daily News.

“After 10 years of writing the comic book series and being so close to the debut of our fourth, and in my opinion, best season of the TV series, I couldn’t be more thrilled about getting the chance to create a new corner of The Walking Dead universe,” Kirkman told The New York Daily News.

The Walking Dead isn’t the only show getting a spin-off on AMC. The network announced last week that it would be getting a Breaking Bad spin-off[4] called Better Call Paul.
