A study shows that taking Vitamin B supplements could help reduce the risk of getting a stroke.

CBS reports that researchers[1] at China’s Zhengzhou University examined 14 clinical trials and their results showed them that the risk of getting a stroke is reduced by 7% when taking Vitamin B. The research also showed that the supplements did not affect how severe the strokes were or the risk of death from a stroke.

The study — which was published in the online journal of the American Academy of Neurology — examined 54,913 participants and every study showed that Vitamin B had some benefits. The author of this study said that Vitamin B helps to reduce strokes but no one should start taking supplements before consulting a doctor first.
