Lobster Found With Hand-Like Claw

A peculiar lobster with a claw that resembles a human hand was brought to the Main State Aquarium by a group of lobstermen.

ABC News reports that the Lola[1] looks like an American lobster but it looks more like a sideshow due to its human-looking six-clawed hand. Scientists say that Lola can only use three of her claws and they’re not exactly sure why they grew the way they did.

Lobsters tend to regrow their claws when they lose them but something out of the ordinary happened with Lola’s DNA code that made her grow her unique claw. The animal is on display at the aquarium but she will be released if she’s not doing well.
