Kia to Show Off New K900 Luxury Sedan in Super Bowl Ad

The car starts around $50,000


hero_k900_2015Korea’s Kia Motors is taking another step into the luxury car market and hopes to get a marketing boost for its pricey new sedan from America’s biggest sporting event.

The carmaker showed off the K900 sedan at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. It will begin selling the car at U.S. dealerships early next year. The K900 comes with a 3.8-liter, V-6 engine and a $50,000 base price, Automotive News notes.

Kia will promote the new flagship car through ads run during next year’s Super Bowl.

The K900 will join higher-end models of Kia’s Optima sedan and its upscale Cadenza, which starts around $40,000.

Over the summer, General Motors (GM) announced that its Chevrolet brand would run a Super Bowl ad in 2014, after choosing to skip the last NFL championship.
