Busch Gardens Roller Coaster Malfunctions Trapping 16 Riders

A Busch Gardens roller coaster called Cheetah Hunt suffered technical difficulties earlier this week, trapping 16 riders.

Riders were stuck for over an hour[1] in the cheetah-inspired roller coaster located in the Tampa, FL amusement park. Busch Gardens’ Cheetah Hunt distressed the riders even though they managed to keep their calm.

Tampa Fire Rescue was called and the riders were able to get off after waiting under cold rain. The Busch Gardens riders were stuck at a 30-degree angle but Tampa Fire workers were able to lower them to the ground by getting them into buckets wearing harnesses.

Busch Gardens engineers will investigate the roller coaster and figure out what went wrong. Cheetah Hunt will be closed until the problem is solved.
